Founded in 2022, The Lazarus Project is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization based in the United States that is planning and developing a new 48 bed in-patient drug rehabilitation center serving domestic and international teens in the Dominican Republic. This $1.2 million center is currently under construction. Our campus will sit on a rural site featuring lush green trees in the outskirts of Guerra, Dominican Republic.

The center will also offer specialized secondary education based on the patient's rehabilitation level. Our rehabilitation programs will include spiritual development, computer technology, gardening, and basic English education. Services will be offered in English and Spanish based on the patient's needs.

The founders of The Lazarus Project are Alvin Payne, Mario Grullon, Pedro Payne, and William Grullon. They are two pairs of brothers with parents of Dominican ancestry. The brothers grew up together in New York City and have been friends since they were 10 years old. They share a common dream to give new life to teenagers that have fallen under the harmful grip of drug addiction.
