The Lazarus Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that will be offering short and long term inpatient drug rehabilitation services in the Dominican Republic. This $1.2 million center is currently under construction. Our campus will sit on a rural site featuring lush green trees in the outskirts of Guerra, Dominican Republic. The center will offer specialized secondary education based on the patient's rehabilitation level. Our rehabilitation programs will include spiritual development, computer technology, gardening, and basic English education. Services will be offered in English and Spanish based on the patient's needs.

The project will be staffed by a licensed physician and nurse. Additional clinical and professional staff include graduate student interns in the fields of psychology, psychiatry, and social work. We will use various science-based, behavioral therapy intervention methods recognized around the world by top researchers and clinicians.

Our facility will offer comfortable air conditioned private and semi-private dorm room options.

OUR CAMPUS

We will provide a safe environment for your child with a gated entry and a 12-foot reinforced concrete wall around the entire perimeter of our campus. We will have 24 hour security guard services and employ a 24-camera, state of the art DSS Pro Digital Surveillance System to monitor our entire campus. To further ensure the safety of our clients, our campus gates will close at 6pm daily. All visitors will be required to check in upon entry.

The Lazarus Project seeks to become a ‘Best Practice’ organization in the Dominican Republic. Our ability to offer a holistic drug rehabilitation program will set us apart from all other rehab programs in the country. The Lazarus Project will be the only center offering all of the following options in a single location:

  • Inpatient services for both male and female patients.

  • Bed capacity up to 48 with a potential expansion to 96 upon completion of the second level dormitory floor.

  • Spiritual development and guidance incorporated into the program curriculum.

  • Social/Living skills development so that our patients graduate from our program with marketable skills that will increase their chances of leading a successful life and thereby reducing recidivism. These skills will include English language acquisition, computer technology, gardening, academic classes and tutoring based on their high school grade. More components will be added as the program matures and grows.

  • Data collection and post completion patient tracking to inform future interventions and recidivism rates.

  • A focus on natural, organic foods and a holistic diet.
